Two for the price of one!

I don't get many photos of Emily and Becky together so I thought I would put this one on my blog and tell you a bit more about them.

They both have very busy lives as they are studying for their A levels and they have exams coming up, because of this time is precious. We have managed to find a fantastic on line shop for clothes, http://www.asos.com/ it is so easy to use and has a great choice of clothes and accessories.

The prices vary so you can shop according to your budget, they also make it very easy to return anything that is not quite right. The top in the picture below Emily bought last week and it looks fab on, I was very impressed in the quality and I'm sure she will be doing some more shopping soon!

Feet Treats

http://www.simplyfeet.co.uk/ is an amazing website to use if you have any feet problems! I know I am writing about style tips but I thought I'd share some of the knowledge about caring for your feet, not only do my feet suffer from standing all day but I am now in training to do the Clarendon Way walk so I have had a few extra problems. The aim is to walk from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral, this is roughly twenty six miles, across some beautiful countryside. I am doing the walk with a friend of mine as we are trying to raise as much money as we can for Naomi House children's hospice.

The RELAX product is a brilliant quick fix for those who need to speed up the recovery of tired feet, it's also recommended for people who have not exercised for a long time. This has helped my tired feet relax quicker as I need to train three times a week.
The START is great again for returning athletes and it also can be used as an aid to warming up if you don't have a great deal of time, it has helped me keep any injuries at bay! This product should be used in cold weather and especially for outdoor sports

Makeup you cant do without.

Hi I thought I'd put a photo of me on my blog so at least you can see who is talking although this will probably be the last as I don't like photos of me! This was taken last summer on my daughters prom night and as you can see we are extremely proud parents.

I have fair skin and I have to take care in the summer so I thought I'd tell you about some of the makeup I use. Due to holidaying abroad and spending lots of time in the sun I have a few sun spots on my face and I feel self-conscious about them. Benefit have an an absolutely fantastic range, http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/gp/home.html?SR=sr2bu68go85gx722pi24ai38&ext_id=ps_ggl_SBGB/GXGB_Meta/Benefit_Meta/_benefit The ERASE paste is a brightening camouflage for eyes and face and comes in different shades for you to choose depending on your skin type. I apply the paste with a makeup brush and blend it in around the edges, I then use the GET EVEN blotting powder to give you a perfect finish. The GET EVEN powder is also fantastic for getting rid of any redness or if you suffer with shiny skin this helps eliminate it leaving you with a smooth Matt finish which looks totally natural.

It's an age thing!

Being a woman of forty plus I have been trying to look after my skin so I thought I would talk about some of the products I have used.
I went to Centre Parcs several years ago and had a facial, they used Decleor products and I found these great.http://www.decleor.co.uk/I use the Cleansing Milk and Toner every day it is for all skin types as I have combination skin. If you want to give your skin a real pamper then I would recommend the HYDRA FLORAL ANTI-POLLUTION – “FLOWER ESSENCE” MOISTURISING MASK, this mask is absolutely fantastic you apply it to fully cleansed skin and leave it on for ten minutes then remove with cotton wool dampened with warm water or the toner I mentioned earlier. I tend to do this treatment when I have a bath and it really does leave your skin feeling hydrated, another product you can use is the AROMESSENCE™ EXCELLENCE. This serum is an anti ageing treatment specifically designed for mature skin I actually use the Neroli, as I loved the smell of this one, but there are several different ones you can use. These products are a bit expensive but well worth it, they make a lovely present so I tend to ask for them for my birthday or Christmas. Alturnatively you can purchase these procucts from John Lewis so you could buy them some vouchers so they can to choose which product they want.

Introducing Emily

Hi today I thought I'd introduce you to my daughter Emily as you can't do one without the other! Like me Emily has curly hair and she keeps it long to enable her to do lots of different things with it. The one thing that Emily cannot do without are her GHD's which she uses to curl and straighten her hair, as she uses lots of heat on her hair she also uses the TIGI products I mentioned on my last blog

Another brilliant product for damaged or over processed hair is
the Aussie range, the miracle conditioner range is absolutely superb and leaves the hair soft and shiny. I have also found that it has cut down any breakage due to high lift colouring. They are a little expensive but you can buy this range from some pharmacy's when they have an offer on. Aussie range also do a leave in conditioning spray which I would recommend to use in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner of your choice.

Introducing Becky!

Hi I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce one of my daughters, thats Becky on the left. Becky decided that when she started college she wanted a new look, we talked about it at length and we came up with a short choppy cut and a whole head blonde colour.

Having to maintain a high lift blonde is not easy and I have invested in lots of hair products, I thought I'd share some of these with you.

I've found Tigi products very good especially the BED HEAD range, Headrush is a shine spray which is perfect to give the hair a glossy finish, its easy to use and doesn't leave the hair greasy. It is ideal to use if your hair has been heavily prossesed or even if you have naturally dry hair. I also use Ego Boost which is a split end mender and this is very good for mid/long length hair, you apply to the ends of the hair before you blowdry and it helps to protect your hair. I also think the Ego Boost is very good for curly hair as it stops the ends looking frizzy and gives you a nicer finish. Uptight is another excellent product for curly hair, it can be used to scrunch dry naturally curly hair or with a curling brush to give you stong sexy ringlets. My other daughter, Beckys twin, has naturally curly hair and I hope to tell you about some of the different product that she uses soon.
